During your wax/sugar, I’ll explain each step while implementing my tested BIG 3 pain management practices and how they work. You will trade uncomfortable razor burn, fast + itchy regrowth, and time consuming shaving for softer, finer hair, sparse and slower regrowth and long periods of baby-smooth skin with only a 20 minute visit. As the preferred hair removal method of ancient Egyptians, sugaring is an all natural, non-thermal hair removal method. The sugar paste is made up of 3 simple ingredients (sugar, water, and lemon juice) that is ideal for sensitive skin types. With the "mold to flick" approach, it is typically best for folks that are routine with epilation (removing hairs from follicles, formerly consistent wax and sugar clients) that have medium hair types.

It is so “manageable”. Your first wax or sugar ever is often more sensitive due to your follicles and hair being the strongest they have even been. However, with regular maintenance waxes, the pain decreases significantly as follicles weaken, resulting in thinner and sparser hair that is easier to remove. The long-term goal is to prevent hair growth from follicles altogether. Due to the application and removal process of sugar + the lack of a heat element, majority find sugar a bit more zippy.

​Ideal hair length is ½ inch (minimum of 14 days from a fresh shave). Your hair CAN be too long so if it’s longer than 1 inch it’s best to trim it down before your appointment to eliminate any unnecessary pulling and breakage.

Exfoliate the area the night before, keep it free of any topical products, and wear comfortable clothes. Leave the rest to me, you’ll be hair-free in no time.

Absolutely! No need to be shy. I will easily work around a tampon string and be mindful of your pressure points. Just know your sensitivity may be a bit heightened due to hormonal changes.
